JW Roy releases new song called Doreen

In September 2018 JW Roy played some shows in the US, during a day off he recorded a song called Doreen at Cedar Creek Recordings in Austin, Texas. Cedar Creek was run by the legendary Jimmy LaFave and is now owned by his talented cousin Jesse LaFave. Carrie Rodriguez joined in for vocal and violin parts.

The song Doreen tells a story about the grandma of JW Roy’s wife. She called Doreen and suffers from dementia. Roy describes how she’s living in the past right now: ‘drifting through her memories, living in that moment for all times’.

Doreen is released digitally only and available now at all streaming services and download-stores.
